Galaxy T-shirt

Hand painted t-shirt done with acrylic paint MIXED with textile medium (FolkArt brand, by Plaid. I bought it at JoAnns) for use on fabric. Here is a pretty good tutorial on making these shirts: [link]

Blending is an important step to get a good effect. After sponging on the colors I used a toothbrush to literally scrub and blend and soften the look. That technique works well on larger stars and galaxy centers too, to give them that 'glow'.. touch up with white in the center to finish. You really can't mess up when making these.. it's nature.. nothing is perfect Oh, and no matter what you think about how it looks as you're going along, the real magic happens when you speckle on the stars!
